Having a lovely summer ...

Hi all,
Hope you're having a lovely summer (or winter) wherever you are. It's been feeling a bit like winter in blustery Devon this last few weeks, but I've still been having lots of fun!
The birthday extravaganza continued for a while after the actual event - I had a lovely party and continued to be spoiled when Uncle Lenny and Aunty Michelle came down to deliver my playhouse that Mummy and Daddy had bought for me but hadn't been able to transport.
I had a lovely time with them and had Uncle Lenny running a round like a looney after me.
He helped Daddy to build my playhouse which I absolutely adore. I am always outside now playing with the shutters on the window, and making butterfly spaghetti for my toys (it's yum - they love it).
I am even taking my daytime meals out there - it's a great spot!

I'm still loving being in a big girl's bed and I spend an hour each night before I fall asleep singing to myself - 'The Hokey Cokey' and 'Old McDonald (Eeey aye oh)' are my favourites - I'll sing them for anyone.
The other thing I've started insisting on is hand-socks. No, I don't mean gloves or mittens (which I will not keep on) but socks for my hands. I won't leave home without them and try to do as much as possible with socks on my hands. I have 'Dora' and 'Iggle Piggle' socks so atleast I have something fun to look at :-)
Anyway, that's it from me for now. It sounds like Paps and Maria are going to be in London next month so I am hoping to say 'Hola!' to them in person. Maybe I can persuade him to take me to the zoo ....

Staying cool with mummy ...

Happy birthday to me...

Hi all,
My first big shout-out since I turned two earlier today.
I've been a little bit overwhelmed and over-stimulated by all the amazing pressies I have been sent - thanks so much everyone!
It took me an hour to get to sleep tonight, I was so hyper. I had to sing every song I new before I would shut my eyes.

Anyway my party is Saturday so I'll post some more pics and the low-down of who was there, who kissed who and who ended up having a jelly fight then.
Much love from

Nearly two ... can you believe it!

Hi everyone,
Sorry for not updating this for a while. I've just been so busy having fun.
I went to my first DISCO a couple of weeks ago. It was for a friend of mine, Ryan.
We had a great time - I danced my socks off and I loved playing with all the balloons and bubbles.
I have started going to a new baby group - although I'm not really a baby anymore - in the village here at home. I can start going every morning without mummy or daddy so they will get a break and I will get to play my pants off with all the other children. I am looking forward to going back there.
I have been singing lots too. Obviously I have my nursery rhyme classes to help me along but my favourite songs at the mo are 'The Whole World in his Hands', 'Incy Wincy Spider', 'Old MacDonald Had a Farm (I LOVE shouting the Ei, Ei, Oh bit), 'The Hokey Cokey' and 'I'm a Dingle Dangle Scarecrow'. I love to sing them all to anyone who will listen.

I am now in a big girl's bed and loving all the space. I have all my favourite toys with me and I am really good at staying in bed until Mummy or Daddy come to get me up.
I did fall out of it the other night but I didn't even wake up. Daddy popped me back in and I was still sound asleep.
I went on my first bouncy castle the other day - it was the best fun! I also went on my friend's trampoline (which I like to call Lampoline) and got really dizzy and disorientated by running in a circle AND jumping at the same time. It was fun but I was EXHAUSTED afterwards.
My favourite things at the moment are still Dora the Explorer and butterflies. Rumour has it Mummy is going to try a butterfly cake for my birthday party this weekend. Aunty Bo made Aunty Claire one for her birthday this week so we're hoping for the same result.

Anyway, I'll post some photos of my birthday party here so you can see what I got up to.

Stylish toddler ...

Lovely summer days out ...

Hello everyone!
Hope life is treating you well.
I've been having lots of fun in the last few weeks. The main news is that Daddy came home. I am so pleased to have him and mummy back together - I missed being able to swing between their arms!
I've been hanging out with him lots - he took me to my swimming class this week and to my singing baby group. I love my Daddy.

Mummy and I went to a butterfly farm a couple of weeks ago, which was great. I love butterflies and had an absolute ball. We also visited an Otter sanctuary which was great - i kept shouting hello to them when they came out of the water.

This week Mummy, Daddy and I went to Big Sheep, a theme park here in North Devon. It's very farm-oriented and I saw such big sheep. I also had my first proper horse ride.

It was such a fun day out and we had a ball.

Life in general is pretty good. Lots of birthday parties and walks with the dog. I'm chattering away more and more these days and am about to start sleeping in a big girl's bed. We got it a few weeks ago and it is set up in my room - i like to have my stories on it after my bath. And I like holding onto the headboard and jumping on it. Haha!
I think Mummy and Daddy are going to put me in it tonight. It has a special side so I can't fall out.

Anyway, I'm off to another birthday party so will sign off for now.

All smiles for my Daddy ...

Hellooooooooooo!
This was me on Saturday - very smiley because Mummy says Daddy is coming home on Thursday after three weeks in America.
I can't wait to see him and give him lots of kisses and cuddles. And show off all my new words.

I've not been very well this week - a combination of a very bad cold and conjunctivitus means I haven't been the best company but I have been pretty well behaved. I'm just tired as my coughing has been waking me up.
I must have been pretty sick - it was my friends Sammy and Daia's birthday party on the weekend and I had to go home after an hour. I just wasn't up to all the crowds. They did have a fantastic bubble machine though :-)

Anyway, gotta run and blow my nose.
I'll be in touch soon with more pics.

Lots of love,

Growing up so fast ...

Hi everyone!
Hope you're well - I'm good. Doing lots of swimming at the moment and I can go off with my arm bands on now and kick and splash to my heart's content.
I love it!

I have been playing lots with my friends Sammy and Daia - they're a little bit older than me but I do like to spend time with them as we all learn so much from being around oneanother.

Mummy and I were up in London last week which was fun. I got to see Aunty M and went to a place called Hemel Hempstead where Mummy used to live. It seemed ok. I went to a great indoor play area which was THE BEST but lots of balls from the ball pool were on the path so I spent lots of my time putting them back in. I like to keep things tidy.

I spent an afternoon at a farm last week which was BRILLIANT!! I got to see all the baby horses (I think they're called foals) close up and pat them. I heart animals.

I am also learning to use the toilet - I have a little ladder that helps me get onto the toilet seat. I love hearing my wee wee go into the toilet so hopefully I'll be able to leave nappies behind fairly soon.

Daddy is in America at the moment. He went over to see my Grandpa Otto for a little while and sadly my Grandpa died while Daddy was there.
Mummy and I are sad - my Grandpa was lovely and so much fun. We're looking forward to having Daddy home so we can give him lots of cuddles and make him feel better.
I have learned to say 'I love you Daddy' and this has come in quite handy over the last few days.
Anyway, I'll be in touch soon with more pics and hopefully some recent video!

Devon in April ... and it's SNOWING!

My first hair cut ...

As promised, here are the pics from my first hair cut last week.
It was quite fun and I really liked the animal smock they made me wear.
Mummy and Daddy saved some of my curls, and there was only one near miss when I turned my head as the hairdresser was about to take a snip - I could have lost my ear!!!
But it all turned out well and my fringe is not falling in my eyes anymore.

Taking a cat-nap ...

I'm great with the words now ...

Hi all,
Hope you're all well. I am great - having lots of fun and chattering away now. I've mastered such words as 'Caterpillar' and 'Butterfly' and am totally obsessed with the Dora The Explorer cartoon.

My hair is so long that Mummy has been putting it in bunches. I'm not very good at keeping my bunches in (as you can see by the picture above) but don't I look different with the hair off my face!
I'm actually goign for my first appointment at the hairdressers tomorrow - I think Mummy is going to keep the curls they cut off, and hopefully they'll keep my fringe out of my eyes.

I have been playing with my friends lots and going to baby group, which I still love. The teachers there thanked me for entertaining them and the rest of the class. I can't help it - I just get so excited when we sing 'The Wheels On The Bus' and I have to shake my bum and dance in time to the music.
I've also taught one of the little girls in my group how to spin on the spot - it's so much fun!

I'm still into everything at the moment - I've been switching the washing machine on and off and the heater. Of course I get into trouble because I'm not supposed to touch anything like that so I've started taking my dolls and teddies with me when I'm up to no good and use their hands to do the things I'm not supposed to do. Then I tell them off so they know they're being naughty - how much of a genius am I?

Anyway, other big news is that my Uncle Andre is getting married. Hooray! I am so pleased for him and can't wait to meet Vicky, my aunty-to-be.

Right, I'm off to do some playing.
Talk soon and I'l get some more photos up soon. I'm almost into (birthday) party season so will let you see my outfits.

Un cerveza por favor ...

Helloa again,
Updated pics as promised and my latest news.
We're back in Devon again - it's nice to be back with all my toys and in my bedroom. I forgot how much stuff I have!
The slight back from Spain was great. I get really excited when I go to the airport in Alicante and spend my time squealing at the planes through the huge windows. I'm very lucky to hav been on so may plans already - I am only 21 months old, after all!
I have been trying to practice my words and using them in the right context I think it's called. Anyway the air hostess asked us if we would like a drink and I knew the answer to that and said 'Beer, beer, beer'. Mummy and Daddy were embarrassed and the hostie thought I was very funny.

My favourite toys this week are a plane that makes take-off and landing noises and my circus that Jessie and India sent me for Christmas. They're both great fun.

I'm back at baby group this week, and we're off up to Wales this weekend to collect my doggy Zeus from Uncle Lenny. Life is never dull!

Where I've been ...

Hi everyone,
Sorry for the lack of new posts and pics. We're in Spain at the mo and we can't find the lead to upload the latest pics from the camera.
Anyway, all is well here. I'm enjoying being in Spain and going walking with the dogs every day.
I have been finding lots of new places to play. Paps has a big kennel in the back garden and Mummy cleaned it out for me so i could play in there with my dollies.
I have also started hiding in the kitchen cupboards for fun. It's amazing what you can do to keep yourself entertained.

I have just discovered what pockets are and am driving Mummy mad with all the flowers and snails i keep putting in them.

I am learning new words all the time - when I see Jackson the dog I say 'Doggy! Jackie! Woof Woof'. I am perfecting my horsey noises now, too.

I have been going to the park most days and have met a couple of little Spanish girls. They're a bit like Dora the Explorer - well they speak some of the same words atleast!

Paps is coming home today and we're heading back to Devon on Monday. I have not been home for ages and am looking forward to seeing all my little friends at nuesery. I hope I remember which language I need to speak.

My Daddy was back in America a couple of weeks ago with Grandpa Otto but he joined Mummy and I for our last two weeks in Spain. I really missed him - it's nice when we're all together.

Anyway, once I get home we should be able to get some more up-to-date photos.

Take care and keep in touch,

Hola from Espana!

Hi everyone!
I'm back online with pics and everything!!!!!!
Our trip to the Dominican Republic wasn't without it's dramas but in the end we had a great time. We did lots of touring on the island in a hire car and I slept in a bed for the first time (I wasn't that keen but they didn't have a cot).
I made lots of friends, especially with the Dominicans on the resort, and the flight home was a piece of cake as I slept all the way!

We headed back to Devon for a few days and I loved sleeping in my cot, catching up with my mates at playgroup and hanging out with all my toys. It was lovely! I was able to show everyone how well I can do animal noises. I can do a 'moo' for a cow, a 'quack quack' for a duck and 'geeew-ow' for a cat (I'm still trying to perfect this one). And I am good at saying 'bye bye' too/

Mummy and I left for Spain on Monday and Daddy has gone back to San Francisco to see Grandpa Otto for a couple of weeks as he hasn't been feeling well. Daddy will then join Mummy and I here.
We're looking after Jackson and Chica, my Paps' dogs as he left to go to Australia to visit Aunty Claire yesterday. I don't think he is there yet, but I know he is going to spend a special birthday there and that I had to write a card! well, i tried to, anyway.

Anyway, I'll write more soon with my latest Spanish shenannigans - and hopefully some more pictures too.

You're having a laugh, Mummy ...

Last couple of days in the Caribbean and the holiday has rallied somewhat. The weather has been scorchio ... I've learned to get knocked over by the waves and like it, and we've been out and about exploring the island.
It's been fab.

Time for an update from me ...

Hi all,
So sorry for lack of posts and pictures recently. I've been all over the place and we've not had time to upload photos of my escapades.

Starting with December, Daddy went to America and Mummy and I went to Spain for Christmas with Paps. We had a lovely time with Uncle Lenny and Aunty Michelle there too, and I was spoiled rotten.

Mummy and I then flew back to the UK and met Daddy in London before jetting off to the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean. It was a REALLY long flight but I did sleep for a couple of hours and spent most of my time walking around the plane and chatting to people.

We're in the Dominican Republic at the moment and we're not having a brilliant time. There was a mix-up at the hotel so we're in a different one (supposedly better) but it is HUGE!
I'm not keen on the food over here so have been living on cheese and cucumber, and it has been raining lots so I've not been able to get out that much with my bucket and spade. It's such a shame.

We're back in the UK on January 22nd, before heading back to Spain to house-sit for Paps.
I like the food over there and the rain in Spain falls mainly on the plane. Or so I have heard.

Christmas and holiday pics to follow - cross my heart!

Much love and a Happy New Year to you all,
Little Lottie xxx

Off on my travels again ...

Hi everyone,
So sorry for being rubbish at updating this in recent weeks. We've been so very busy getting organised for Christmas and our various trips.
But here's the latest on me:
I've been up to London with Mummy to visit Aunty M. We had a great time - she's so much fun and always spoils me rotten!

I am really into climbing at the moment. I climb EVERYTHING!!! I've been up on the mantlepiece, on the clothes airer... i can even climb into my highchair and get myself settled!

Mummy and Daddy have been working lots and I have been hanging out with my friend Daia. She has a push-chair for her dollies and I keep trying to take it from her. Thankfully Mummy bought one for me and I love to squish myself into it to watch my favourite TV show 'In the Night Garden'.

I am trying to talk lots at the moment, and I LOVE to dance!

I'm sure you've all heard the saga of our proposed trip to America. Mummy and I are now not able to go thanks to visa restrictions. I am so disappointed - I was
sooooooo looking forward to meeting Aunty Michelle, Aunty Nicole, my cousin Maggie and of course seeing Grandpa Otto and Uncle Andre again.
Daddy is still going to see them (Mummy and I said he had to go) and we're going to spend Christmas with Paps and Uncle Lenny's family in Spain.
THEN ... when Daddy gets back the three of us are off to the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean for three weeks. We're so excited about it!
Daddy is going to do lots of windsurfing, Mummy is going to do horseback riding and I am looking forward to hanging out at the beach.
AND THEN ... we're heading back to Spain to house-sit for Paps while he goes to Ausralia to visit Aunty Claire.
Phew, it's all go for jetsetting me!

Anyway, here's some more pics to keep you up to date. I'll send more from my second Christmas soon!

Hope all is well with you,

Riding a horse is thirsty work...

Hi everyone,
So my Paps bought me a rocking horse. It lives in Spain with him and I love it. Such great fun! Here are some action shots of me on it.

And here's the latest from me...

Hi all,
Heading back from Spain later today to see my daddy after a week hanging out with Mummy and Paps.
I've had a great time - heaps of walking in the pine forest with the dogs and lots of climbing at the beach.
These pics are from my last trip here in late September.
I'll upload the new ones once I get home. There are some crackers!!
Anyway, off to prepare for Bonfire Night! I think Mum, Paps and I are off the market, too.
Much love and kisses,

This is my favourite TV show

Hi all,
Hope life is treating you well.
Things are good with me - I'm off back to Spain to see Paps on Sunday. I love the beach and his garden so I can't wait.
The above picture is of my favourite TV show In The Night Garden. I'm not quite sure what it is about but it is keeping me entertained and makes me get up and dance.
Uncle Lenny and Aunty Michelle bought me the dvd and so now mum and dad have a surefire way of keeping me quiet. Although...
... I did chuck a bit of a tantrum when one of the girls at my baby group had a doll from the show and I wanted it. I kept taking it off her and crying when daddy made me give it back. Although, I think he did promise to buy me one...

I am still running around lots and am into everything. Mummy now lets me get out of the pram when we talk Zeus for a walk, but becuase it is autumn I do get in a mess, especially when I sit down on the path.... in the mud!
Anyway, I'll get some new pics posted on here soon - it's a case of catch and snap me if you can at the moment!!!

Talk soon,

I've been on my holidays...

Hi all,
Sorry for lack of post and pictures, but we've been over in Spain hanging out with Paps.
I think I frightened him quite a bit with all the running around I was doing, but he has such a big house and garden that it seemed the easiest way to get around.
I went to the beach lots and made heaps of friends, and even went to the camp next door to swim in the shallow end of their pool. Such fun.

I was a bit sick when I arrived in Spain - some kind of virus I think, but I was fine after a day. Unfortunately Mum, Dad and Paps got sick and were in bed for a couple of days. Shame I'm only 15 months old or I could have nursed them back to health!

I also caught up with Mary and Billy, who I met in Spain last year. They had been over visiting Paps and had done lots in Nana's garden, which they showed me when they walked me round.

I was up in Wales visiting Uncle Lenny again, too. He has another big house with lots of garden to run around in! AND!! My Daddy is going to build me a garden at our house in Devon so I can play outside.
I am SOOOOOOOOOOO lucky.

Anyway, the most recent photos should be uploaded in the next few days so I'll be sure to add them here.
Until then take care and much love,
Little Lottie xxx

Waving to you all from Devon...

Hi all,
Hope September is being good to you so far!
All is well with us - Mummy, Daddy and I went up to Wales to stay with Uncle Lenny and Aunty Michelle. They've just moved to a big house with lots and lots of grass, so I spent the entire time in the garden, walking around.
I also rather enjoyed patting the red roses in their garden. I've no idea why, but I loved patting and chatting to them!
My cousin James spent hours and hours playing with. He's a bit cute and could well be my first 'big boy' crush.

I also spent lots of times playing with the dogs Travis and Sophie. I loved walking arouns with their ball and frisbee... they seemed to follow me when I did this. I did try throwing the ball, but I am still only little and so could only manage to throw the ball backwards. They seemed to pick this trick up, though, so we were still able to play!

Mummy, Daddy and I are going away for a few days to the seaside this week. They want to do some surfing and I want to hang out on the sand. It'll be great fun.

I am still teething like mad, but I am a very happy little girl. Well, it's hard not to be!

Hope all is well with you.

Busy being sociable...

Hi all,
Can't believe its almost the end of August. It has been such a hectic few weeks... and I have been having FUN!!!

Daddy has been taking care of me while Mummy has been at work - I think they fancied a change. I love them both but it is cool to hang out with Daddy. He calls me Pumpkin and has a made-up song for everything - even my toast.

I've been to a few playgroups and playdates this last couple of days, but the highlight was going to an adventure park right here in Devon.
I got to go on big slides and a steam train which I loved because I got to wave to all the people around the track (I think Mummy called them gnomes). I also had my first ever go on a bouncy castle... I wasn''t that keen at the standing up part but I loved to sit down and bounce. I laughed for ages at that.

There's lots going on with family visits too. We're going up to North Wales to see Uncle Lenny and Aunty Michelle for a few days this week. I am looking forward to see them and I hear they have a HUGE grassed backgarden for me to run around in. Woohoo.

We've also just booked our tickets to Sam Francisco for Christmas. We're going to see Uncles Paul, Doug, Andre, Aunties Michelle and Nicole, cousin Maggie and of course Grandpa Otto. I can't wait but I think Mummy and Daddy are a little concerned at the thought of 14 hours on a plane with me, without a seat. That's a lot of Charlini!!

After the US we're heading straight to Spain to see Paps before he jets off to Australia to see Aunty Claire. See, we really are the jetset family!

'Hey, I've put my new shoes on...'

Hi all,
Big news - I have my first pair of 'proper shoes'. Obviously I've had heaps of pre-walker shoes, and my new Nikes from Paps, but now that I am upright all the time, Mummy and Daddy decided it was time to go to Clarks and have my feet measured.
I am 4.5 F - it was great fun having my feet measured and the shoes were all very pretty, but I think the ones we chose for me are the best. Aren't they beautiful! They're very comfortable, although I'm an expert at getting them off because of the velcro. Maybe we should have got buckle-ups after all...

I've been going to a special baby group every Monday, which is all about exploring. Last week it was Messy Play, based on science (ice, jelly, water, dry, powders) so I spent my time in a paddling pool filled with cooked green spaghetti. I also dipped my feet in paint and walked all over the the floor (it was covered in paper) and it was jusrt great. Hands down, I was the messiest by far. Daddy had to come over with a whole new set of clothes for me before Mummy would put me in the car.

This week it wasn't quite so messy - I was playing in a big pile of cornflour. There are lots of bigger children there - some of them are five, and I like hanging out with them. We all sit at a table together and have a snack. Some of them lef their raisins, so once they'd been excused I ate the lot. Well, waste not, want not!

I have four new teeth almost through, but it has been very very sore this time. So much so that when Daddy was in the kitchen the other day I managed to get the phone and call the emergency services.
I only wanted to tell them that my mouth hurt and ask for their advice, but I couldn't get any words out so just did lots of breathing.
Daddy didn't know about it until they called us back to make sure we were ok and didn't need the police, fire or ambulance. I think they told him off for wasting their time, too. Woooops.
Sorry Daddy.

Anyway, that's the news from me this week.
Hope you're all well.
