Jai Hoh!
Happy Birthday to me now I am three ...

Hi everyone,
Thanks so much for all the birthday cards, presents and good wished on my third birthday. I had a wonderful day and THE BEST party ever.
Thanks to Aunty M and Suki for coming all the way from London to do facepainting on all my friends - and for all the great pressies.
Thanks too, to Uncle Lenny and Aunty Michelle who came down from Nottingham just for the party. They brought heaps of food and got me a pink guitar! I'm hoping Daddy and Uncle Lenny can teach me how to play that when I am a bit bigger.

Thanks to all my other Aunties and Uncles, friends, family and of course my Paps for all my presents, but most of all thank you to my Mummy and my Daddy for my Dora The Explorer scooter. I love it so much I refused to go to school on Friday because I couldn't take it on the school trip with me. I am silly!
Anyway, it's been a huge weekend - I'm off for a nap.

I'm not the only Charlotte ...

I love going to school - I get to play with the children and I get to learn all kinds of things. What I have learned is that I am not the only Charlotte. There is another Charlotte in my school but she is a big girl - I think she is nearly five.
So they have to call me Charlotte Gould so I know they mean me.
I'm such a big girl now ...

My days of nappies during the day might be coming to an end. I've been potty training like a demon and have had heaps of dry days in recent weeks. I am very pleased with myself because it means I am allowed to wear my Dora the Explorer knickers. I love Dora.

I have been a little bit cheeky with the potty training though. Daddy has been really good at reminding me to use the potty when I have my knickers on. He even brings it in the car with us when we go out. If I say I need to do a wee, he stops the car and lets me sit on it by the side of the road, which I LOVE, as I love to look at the traffic and point out all the cars.
I MIGHT have done it a few times just to look at the cars - and I might not have actually needed the toilet, but it's fun for me :-)
Here's hoping I can stop the nappies before I am three.

Long time, no hear ...

Hi everyone,
So very sorry for not updating this in such a long time. In my defence I am at nursery every morning now and my afternoons are full of playgroups, walking the dog and hanging out with my friends. It's tough being two and 11 months!
So much has happened ... let me try and remember. Mummy, Aunty Michelle, Cousin James and I went to Spain just before Easter to see Paps. It was nice to be near the beach in warm weather but it wasn't quite warm enough to get into the sea which was a shame. I'm hoping to do that when we go back later in the year though. Mummy and I also spent some time at Uncle Lenny's house - I love his house because he lets me play on his drums and he does everything I say! He's a softy sucker :-)

After my roller disco fun, Mummy and Daddy bought me some Dora The Explorer roller skates that you fix to your shoes. I love them and have so much fun spinning around on them. I could be the next non-ice version of Torville and Dean!
I took part in my school Easter sing-song with the other children and caused a bit of an uproar when were supposed to be singing 'Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star', but I sang the 'ABC ...' song instead. In my defence they have the same tune so I was just trying to show everyone how similar they were. I think mum was a bit embarrassed!

I have been to the dentist for the time - apparently all my teeth are in and now I have to brush them properly. I wasn't scared of the dentist at all AND I got a free sticker. I love stickers so I was a very happy girl.
I am going to two weddings this year. My Paps is marrying his friend Maria so Mummy, Daddy and I are going to Spain for a little holiday and to be there for the wedding. It should be lots of fun - Aunty Claire is coming from Australia for it and Uncle Lenny and Aunty Michelle will be there too so I will have plenty of people to go swimming with. Hurrah!
And the big wedding of the year is my Mummy and Daddy. They're getting married just after Christmas and it sounds like my Uncle Andre and Aunty Vicky will be coming over from Hong Kong, as well as Paps and Maria from Spain and Aunty Claire and Bo from Australia. It'll be so much fun - I'd better practice my dancing and my speech.

What with that and my third birthday next month, there is HEAPS going on at the momemnt!
I promise I won't leave it as long between updates.
Much love to you all,

Rock'n'roller disco queen ...

Hi everyone,
I'm just back from my first Roller Disco! It was a fantastic night - with great music (I love YMCA and The Macarena), veggie hot dogs and some friends from my school.
Daddy took me round the hall a few times because I kept doing the splits with one leg going forward and one leg going backwards.

I fell down lots but it was great fun and I was whizzing around with heaps of confidence by the end of it. I'm hoping Mummy and Daddy can get me some roller skates for my birthday!
I spoke to my Paps today - I am very excited as I am going to see him at Eater. I have not been to his house for a while, and I look forward to going to the beach and showing him all the things I have learned since he last saw me in August.
I got a Valentine's present from my friend Sammy - he's not my boyfriend (although I did give him a card) but we are very very good friends!
Anyway time for bed - I've got school in the morning.

My Daddy has a special nose ...
Hi everyone,
Pinch punch, first of the month! I can't believe it is February already. 2009 is WHIZZING by.
Anyway, all is well with me. I am loving my pre-school. It is so much fun - we play all morning and then have lunch together. I've had a few wet accidents ... no, not my nappy, I keep forgetting to push my sleeves up before I was my hands for lunch. There's just so much to remember at pre-school!
I love this picture of Daddy and I. It was taken at the butterfly farm in Koh Samui and I was twisting his ear as it is the on/off button for the noise his nose makes. He's magical!
Uncle Lenny and Aunty Michelle came down to see us this weekend, so I got them to bath me and read me lots of stories. They're such fun!
Anyway, hope all is well with you.

Home safe and sound ...
Hi everyone,
We're home safe and sound from our South East Asian adventure. The train back up to Bangkok was great - I had a bed and everything! The flight back to London was ok - they had hardly any vegetarian food for us and mummy and daddy were very angry. I didn't manage to sleep much on either of the flights, so when we were in London I was behaving like I was drunk from sheer exhaustion!
Anyway, we collected Zeus and are now back into our routine at home. It's very cold though - we had to buy portable radiators to keep the chill away.
I started pre-school this week - I go by myself three mornings a week. There are only eight children in the school so I am getting lots of attention. I LOVE IT!
We have to wear a uniform too, so stay tuned for pictures of me in my first school uniform.
Hope January is treating you well and here's to a fantastic 2009.
Much love.

Happy New Year everyone!
I'm still in Thailand and about to make the trek from the holiday isle of Koh Samui back up to Bangkok by bus, ferry, train, and tuk tuk before flying back to London.
It's been an interesting three weeks in the (sometimes) sun.
Let me explain ...
The flight out was really fun - I got a free backpack and when we stopped off at Doha I got to play in an amazing kids play area.
This kept mummy and daddy happy as unfortunately they were both very sick for the plane journey - and most of the the first week of our hols :-(
We stayed in Lamai on Koh Samui first of all, at The Spa where Uncle Andre and Aunty Vicky were holidaying. It was nice to see them but we were still a bit sick. I even had to go to hospital myself, my cough was so bad. No fun.

We had Christmas Day at The Spa (hurrah, Santa found me) and on Boxing Day moved to the north of the island to Bo Phut. It was very quiet and expensive up there but we needed to get a bigger base as Aunty Claire was arriving from Sydney.
It was good to see her - I wasn't very shy at all and remembered her from her photos.
By this time we were feeling better so we hired a jeep and went off a did lots of cool things. We trekked to a waterfall (remember never to climb down a hillside in croc shoes), went to a butterfly farm
which was great, and I got to ride on an elephant through the jungle with Aunty Claire.
I loved it! I sang 'Nelly The Elephant' all the way round, but I think Aunty Claire was worried we might fall off like the man 'steering' the elephant did. She was holding onto me very tightly! And I got to give the elephants some bananas afterwards.

Hola peeps,
So very sorry for the sporadic way I am updating this at the moment. Mummy is studying full-time, Daddy is working full-time and we are a very busy family these days.
Anyway - we're all well in very coldy and snowy Devon. Thank goodness for my lovely new winter coat that Aunty M bought me as an early Christmas pressie. Here I am posing in it:

Those eagle eyes amongst you will notice it is a Dora The Explorer coat. She is my absolute favourite TV star and i love her. So I am of course wearing my coat with everything. EVERYWHERE!
I had a great Halloween and Bonfire Night in late October and early November. Mummy, Daddy and I carved out a pumpkin for the window, and we had a Halloween party and my friend Sammy's house. He was quite frightened by all the skeletons and scary stuff but I loved it. SO much fun.
As always, I have some more big news. Mummy, Daddy and I are going on an adventure this Christmas ... to Thailand. I really hope Santa can find me.
We are flying to Bangkok (so glad the blockade protest is over) via Doha in the United Arab Emirated. From Bangers, we're taking the overnight train south so we can catch a ferry to an island called Koh Samui.
There we're going to meet up with Uncle Andre and Aunty Vicky from Hong Kong, which will be great. I know I only saw them in September at their wedding, but they were kinda busy. I am looking forward to playing with them at the beach. Look, I'm getting ready for the beach now ...

I think they are leaving just before Christmas, and then we're going to Koh Phangan island until the new year. Aunty Claire is going to join us on Boxing Day from Australia which will be lots of fun, too. We are all looking forward to it.
We're heading to Nottingham to Uncle Lenny's house next weekend for a 'Lenny Christmas' so we can all exchange gifts and eat lots of things we shouldn't do. I'm really looking forward to that - Uncle Lenny is lots of fun.
So that's my big news. In other news, Sammy and I have been told off for French Kissing in the supermarket trolley. We just think it is funny - everyone freaks out when we do it - haha.
So, I'll make sure you have Christmas/New Year photos and updates I promise. I think Auntry Claire might help me with the photos - she's like the paparazzi when I'm around.
Merry Christmas everyone,

The wedding pictures ...
Hi everyone,
So i took a little longer than I'd hoped to get these pictures to you - mainly because we were so busy in the lead-up to the wedding that mummy and daddy forgot our camera. So we had to wait for other people's photos :-(
Anyway, here's the three of us in all our glory. Check me out - dressed head to toe in Marks and Spencer's finest.

Although I did lose the look a little later when I spent the afternoon sliding down the hill on my bum. The grass stains are still coming out!
We had a lovely few days of wedding celebrations and it was great to see my Uncle Andre and my new Aunty Vicky. I also got to meet Aunty Michelle and Uncle Doug from America. I liked them very much. Just Aunty Nicole, Uncle Paul and cousin Maggie to go and I'll have met all the family.

Life has been very hectic with mummy back at university but she's really enjoying it and she brings me books from the library every time she goes, which I love. I ADORE books.
I'm talking away like a little parrot these days - and I've started shouting out 'I've lost my mum' when I am out in public which I know is a bit naughty but keeps me amused. I have also started pretending I am stuck when I am out with the dogs (and in bed) and shout 'Help, I'm stuck! I need a rope'.
I have been warned about the little boy who cried wolf so I will make sure I just use it for comedy effect rather than to panic people.
Anyway, I'll upload some more photos when we get them - hope these do you for now.
Trust life is well with you all.

It's been a long time ...
Hi all,
Sincere apologies for the length of time taken to update this blog. Life has been so hectic in the last month or so and I have no idea where the time goes.
Summer in the UK was a bit of a wash-out weatherwise this year. This meant Mummy and Daddy weren't at work as much as they had planned to, but it also meant that I got to hang out with them more.

We spent lots of time at the beach (just trying to wear me out) and I have had lots of playdates with my friends. It has been lots of fun.
I had one of my first big impact tantrums at Tescos a few weeks back - I wanted some new wellies, picked them out, held them and when it came time to pay for them I wouldn't give them to the lady behind the counter. Mummy said if I didn't hand them over she wouldn't buy them. I refused and she kept her side of the bargain :-(
But I did learn that I have to do as Mummy and Daddy say and when they took me shopping the next week I sat in the trolley with the things I wanted and kept saying 'I have to give it to the lady, I have to give it to the lady' all the way around. I gave the things to the lady and it worked! So, a lesson learned there!

Uncle Lenny and Aunty Michelle popped down to Devon a few times this summer, as did Aunty M. But I guess the big arrivals were my Paps and his friend Maria from Spain. They came to stay for a few days at the end of August, which gave me a chance to catch up on my Spanish and show Paps what a big girl I am now.

And equally big news is that my Uncle Andre, Daddy's twin brother, is over from Hong Kong at the moment as he is getting married TOMORROW in Devon. I am very much looking forward to the wedding - Daddy is best man and some other aunts and uncles of mine are coming over from California and I have NEVER met them before so I am looking forward to that.
I am looking forward to the reception afterwards too - I love a good dance.
I will makre sure I post pictures of the wedding in the next few days - cross my heart.
Hope this finds you well.
