Newcastle and the Hunter Valley

This was a daytrip, but oh my goodness what a day trip. We got up super early and drove up to my Uncle Andy and Aunty Marie's house in Newcastle. I hadn't met them before but was looking forward to it. Anyway when we got there they took us out on their boat and let me drive! Can you believe it? Me - driving a boat in Australia. We had a fantastic time on the lake then sailed to the yacht club for lunch. I loved it so much and loved them and wanted to stay for days but we had tickets to go to a concert at a winery that night to see two bands called Blondie and The Pretenders so we had to head off for that. The concert was fantastic - the weather was lovely and I really really liked the music. What a fantastic day! Here's me dancing at the gig xxx

Pearl beach

We all went up the coast for a few days - Mummy, daddy, Aunty Claire, Elvis and I to a beach house. It was such a quiet little village - with just three shops and five streets and no traffic.

I got to ride my scooter in the street, build fairy houses on the beach and swim in the sea.
I did have a slight mishap when I got a splinter in my foot and had to go to the doctors but splinter aside, we had a fantastic long weekend at Pearl Beach and I met some nice girls in the park.

It was full of wildlife and I got to get up-close to bush turkeys (gobble gobble!) and cockatoos as well as kookaburrahs and laurekettes.
It was fantastic :-)

Everyone's favourite vegetarian - I've finally found a vegetable I actually like!

Dancing for the locals at Sydney Harbour ...

What can I tell you? Gloria Estefan was right - the rhythm is going to get you. Check out my dancing to the digeridoo in Sydney ... I really am the ultimate Dancing Queen :-)

What an adventure!

Hi all,
It's been non-stop in Australia these last six weeks. My Aunty Claire has had us doing all kinds of things and I am now in Thailand trying to relax before we head for home and I have to start school.

I'll try to give you some brief updates so you know what I got up to, but I hope that you all had a very Happy Christmas.
Much love,
Char

The Little Mermaid ...

He just smiled and gave me a Vegemite sandwich ...

Hi everyone,
I'm writing this from the Land Down Under - Australia. I have been here for a week and am having a great time. It is very hot and I have been going to the beach lots and lots. I even went on a body board.
Mummy, Daddy and I are travelling down the south coast of New South Wales at the moment before heading on to Melbourne - one of Mum's favourite places.

I have lots of pictures of the rest of my trip in America that I will post on here in the next few days but I just wanted to let you all know that I am well and happy in Australia! I am looking for Nemo too ...

Lots of love,
Little Lottie xxx

Meeting the stars ...

My Disneyland adventure ...

What can I tell you - it was amazing!!!
I had the best two days I've had for as long as I can remember and the best ways to let you know is to show you.

I guess the most exciting thing for me was to meet my favourite star Tinkerbell

I had a lovely chat with Minnie Mouse too

I think Cinderella and I got along famously

And finally I got to meet the king of Disneyland, Mickey Mouse

Watch ALL my Disneyland videos (Aunty Claire went a bit crazy with her vieo camera) here

California Dreamin'

Hi everyone,
I'm talking to you from the U-S-of-Ayyyy where I have been haning out with my Daddy's family and having a fantastic time.

San Francisco was wonderful and I got to play with my cousin Maggie who I think is great. We had lots of fun together and she let me play with all her stuff.

From there, Mummy, Daddy and I headed down the West Cost of America to Los Angeles to spend two days at Disneyland. I must have been a very good girl to get two days!!!!
It was amazing and I have never seen anything like it. I spent lots of the time just saying 'Wow'.

From LA we drove to Las Vegas and we had a few days there enjoying the sunshins. It was so hot and I spent lots of time in the pool trying to learn to swim with Mummy, Daddy and Aunty Claire. I also went to the theatre - TWICE!!! Aunty Claire and I went to see The Lion King at the Mandalay Bay hotel and casino, and then Mummy, Daddy, AUnty Claire and I went to see Cirque de Soliel's KA at the MGM Grand. Both shows were just amazing and I loved them.

From there we've been driving around the southern states and have been at the Grand Canyon. I think we're heading to Arizona and New Mexico before looping back to see some more family.

So far, so good!!!

Around the world in 104 days ...

We've started our big travel adventure. First stop was London so I could have cuddles with Aunty M, Uncle Dom and baby Wren.
I really like London. There are lots of big buildings and people everywhere.
Mummy, Daddy and I were very excited to be in London as we knew that we were flying from there to San Francisco so I could meet Daddy's family and start our amazing adventure.
Next stop, Northern California xxx

Me and baby Wren ... again

I love her xxx

My Mummy is so clever ...

My Mummy had her graduation this weekend and Daddy, Paps, Maria and I went along to congratulate her on being so clever.
She had to wear a big black cloak and hat and I told her she looked like a witch. It was nice to see her play dress-ups though and I even got to wear her hat.

We're all so proud of her - she's the cleverest person in our family.
I hope I can be just like her.

Looking pretty in my uniform ...

The Sudocrem kid ...

My friend India and I were very naughty last week. I don't see her very often as she lives in North Yorkshire but she came to stay and we thought it would be great fun to cover ourselves in Sudocrem - a very thick barrier cream a bit like zinc cream.

We looked a state and it took our mummies days to get the grease out of our hair. Now, I should know better because I did this before and was told off but it made us laugh so much.
Even Daddy has to take photos before he told me off!

Stealing the show at school assembly ...

I'm already making an impression at school. When Mummy came to collect me at the end of my second day at school, everyone told her she had to talk to the teacher about me. She was very worried and thought I had been naughty.
So she asked my teacher what was wrong and the teacher said that we had a full school assembly and that the head teacher was asking children what they had done over the summer break and what they had learned.

Lots of children talked about holidays at the beach, playing with their brothers and sisters and seeing family.
I wanted to tell the school what I had learned this summer so stuck my hand up. They told me to say what I had to say so I stood up, started shaking my head from side to side and screamed the opening line of this song ...

Everyone laughed and for the rest of the day people were singing 'Everybody Dance Now' at me. Even my friends and nursery had heard about it when I went this morning.
Looks like I'm causing a commotion in Devon already. I can't wait for school next week :0) xxx

I'm going to big school now ...

Hi everyone,
Hope this finds you well.
I'm good and had a super exciting week this week ... I started school!!!
I'm only going two mornings a week but I absolutely loved it. I love my uniform, I loved playing with all the other children and I loved all the learning I did.
I am learning the sounds that letters make them when you say them. I have so much to learn but its going to be brilliant!

On my first day I did a brilliant picture of Glinda the good witch from The Wizard of Oz.
I also got stuck under the table when I was having my packed lunch, but it was all good in the end.

I think I am going to love school. The teachers think I am very funny. Mummy and Daddy can't belive I am going already. I guess I'm not a little girl any more!

Talk soon,
Love Little Lottie xxx

I met Baby Wren!

My Aunty M had a baby and Mummy and I went to London to meet her. She's called Wren and she's really really small. I can't believe how small she is. Mummy says I was that small once too but I can't believe it.
It was lovely to meet her and to give her a cuddle - and of course to see Aunty M and Uncle Dom.

We had a few days with Uncle Lenny and Aunty Michelle too and it was SO much fun. They threw me a birthday party which was just brilliant - I won all the party games and was thoroughly spoiled. And Uncle Lenny taught me how to rugby tackle him which was lots of fun.

Here's a happy snap of Mummy and I in London. We're now back in Devon planning for our amazing adventure.

Just call me globetrotter ...

It's all booked and I'm off on a fabulous round-the-world adventure with Mummy and Daddy.
We leave at the end of September and are heading to America so I can meet all my family over there (hi to Aunty Michelle, Aunty Nicole, Uncle Paul, Uncle Doug and cousin Maggie - se you soon!!!) in San Francisco before heading down to LA to Disneyland, up to Las Vegas and then on through some the best national parks in the world. We're going to be camping lots and it will be so much fun.
And THEN we are going to Australia to see Aunty Claire and have a look at the outback. I hope I get to meet some real koalas and kangaroos.
AND THEN we're going to Thailand for a week to ride some more elephants and chill out before we come home in January and I start school.
So many things to look forward too ... I don't know where to start! But I will be capturing it all on here and with my camera.
Stay tuned :-) xxx

I love Sponge Bob ...

Hanging out ...

I am on school holidays now and having fun. I have been going to some of the shows with Mummy and Daddy, having lots of play dates with my friends and just generally relaxing.

I was supposed to be going to big school all day every day from September but Mummy and Daddy think I should wait until after Christmas. So it looks like we're going on a little adventure in Autumn - to see all my Daddy's family in America and then maybe even on to see Aunty Claire in Australia if she'll have me!
I am looking forward to it very much - I think America is where Disneyland is and I really really want to go there.

I'll let you know once my trip is finalised. You never know, maybe I'll get to see one of you readers of my blog!

End of the school year ...

That's school finished for the summer - that means I have six weeks of hanging out at home with Mummy and Daddy which is fantastic.
My Mummy has been studying for her Masters but she has finished now so she has more time to play with me and she doesn't need to read really big books any more. Hurrah!

I like the end of the school year as it is always sunny and there is always sports day. We all run around like loonies and balance eggs on spoons and have lots of fun. And at the end of it we all get medals. Its just like the Olympics!

Now I am four ...

I know, I know, I've not updated this in a while. I am very sorry - life has been very very busy.
But The best thing to happen to me in the last couple of months was my birthday and my party.
I had a lovely time with my friends and I got sooooo spoiled it was just amazing! Favourite things include books, The Frog and the Princess movie and my sticker making machine from Uncle Lenny and Aunty Michelle. It is so brilliant.

For those of you that were worried, my arm is completely healed. It only took three weeks in the end and it doesn't hurt me at all so that's really good.

My arm is getting better ...

Hi everyone,
Just a note to update you on my broken arm.
It feels fine and most of the time I forget I'm not supposed to use it. I'm still running around like a lunatic and have loved going to the hospital to see all the doctors and nurses. I have had x-rays galore and am onto my third plaster cast but it's not bothering me in the slightest.
There was talk of me needing some surgery to pin it together but it looks like that won't need to happen, which is good.

I hope you've had a lovely Easter weekend. I have - Uncle Lenny and Aunty Michelle came to see me and they brought me my very own arm chair so I can watch my movies in comfort. I love it! And I love them.

Talk soon,
Love Little Lottie xxx

I've had my first real injury ...

I was on a bike ride on the Tarka Trail near home yesterday when I fell off my bike onto my shoulder and broke my arm.
I was wearing my helmet and knee and elbow pads AND the bike wasn't moving at the time. It was just a freak fall I guess.
I wasn't in an awful lot of pain and managed to walk the half hour back to the car but when Mummy and Daddy got me home and took my hoodie off my arm was all swollen and bending the wrong way.
So, it was off to hospital for an x-ray and some plaster. I was really good and didn't cry at all - I found it fascinating and am going back next week for a new plaster - I hope they have a pink one for me.
I'm OK so please don't worry - I don't think my career as a professional sportswoman has been compromised just yet xxx

I heart Flapper ...

Uncle Dom and Aunty M have a bird in their apartment that flies around all day.
I lovd it - it was so friendly and liked to sit on my shoulder.
I wish Flapper could come to stay.
