Newcastle and the Hunter Valley

This was a daytrip, but oh my goodness what a day trip. We got up super early and drove up to my Uncle Andy and Aunty Marie's house in Newcastle. I hadn't met them before but was looking forward to it. Anyway when we got there they took us out on their boat and let me drive! Can you believe it? Me - driving a boat in Australia. We had a fantastic time on the lake then sailed to the yacht club for lunch. I loved it so much and loved them and wanted to stay for days but we had tickets to go to a concert at a winery that night to see two bands called Blondie and The Pretenders so we had to head off for that. The concert was fantastic - the weather was lovely and I really really liked the music. What a fantastic day! Here's me dancing at the gig xxx

Pearl beach

We all went up the coast for a few days - Mummy, daddy, Aunty Claire, Elvis and I to a beach house. It was such a quiet little village - with just three shops and five streets and no traffic.

I got to ride my scooter in the street, build fairy houses on the beach and swim in the sea.
I did have a slight mishap when I got a splinter in my foot and had to go to the doctors but splinter aside, we had a fantastic long weekend at Pearl Beach and I met some nice girls in the park.

It was full of wildlife and I got to get up-close to bush turkeys (gobble gobble!) and cockatoos as well as kookaburrahs and laurekettes.
It was fantastic :-)

Happy snaps ... say cheese and marmite sandwiches!

Hanging out with mummy ...

Sydney even has a ferry named after me ...

"I love Australia' - anything Oprah can do ...

Everyone's favourite vegetarian - I've finally found a vegetable I actually like!

Oh wow, everything is in 3D ...

Dancing for the locals at Sydney Harbour ...

What can I tell you? Gloria Estefan was right - the rhythm is going to get you. Check out my dancing to the digeridoo in Sydney ... I really am the ultimate Dancing Queen :-)

What an adventure!

Hi all,
It's been non-stop in Australia these last six weeks. My Aunty Claire has had us doing all kinds of things and I am now in Thailand trying to relax before we head for home and I have to start school.

I'll try to give you some brief updates so you know what I got up to, but I hope that you all had a very Happy Christmas.
Much love,
Char
